Nice not quite chain pub with some interesting local wild boar chorizo burgers and a decent steak menu. Some comfy sofas round an open fire for those cold winter days.
Food was good, however, I think it is under new management, not as user friendly as the old lot - a smile and a "hi how can I help you" might be a great start. Waiting staff need more training! I guess they will get there, hopefully sometime soon. Note, the girls who were there were all excellent, what have you done to them? Was a 4* now a 3*, room for improvement me thinks. Try visiting the Millers Arms Mather for tips on customer service and positive attitude.I'll be back....but sort it out in the meantime.
could do with a bit more heat ...... starter of breads oil and olives left a lot to be desired a very sugary dip not sure what it was supposed to be ...about 9 olives in an egg cup...bread sticks and bits of toast ...grim ..on a better note beer battered cod was great and lovely chips ..
Excellent good menu this is our change over point for hand overs on school holidays. IT IS DOG FRIENDLY. Well worth the visit large car park and outdoor eating area.
Very pleasant atmosphere in this pub. Lively and friendly staff. Food very good value! More importantly very good quality. Suggest the chicken pie and the gammon!
